February 2008 - Your Duluth Pee Wee "AA" Atlanta Junior Thrashers along with Detroit Belle Tire "AAA", Compuware "AAA" and Mid-Fairfield "AAA" beat four of the top ranked AAA teams from Ontario representing Team Canada in the CanAm Collision tournament held in Detroit January 11-13. This was an invitation only tournament.

The US teams wore the jerseys from the 1980 US Olympic "Miracle" team while the Canadian teams wore the jerseys from the 1972 Summit Series.

The Jr. Thrashers were invited to this prestigious tournament due to their success in last year's Little Caesar's "AAA" Invitational Tournament held in Detroit. The Jr. Thrashers finished the Little Caesar's tournament with a record of 2-1-1 against some to the top competition in the country.
